FIBA Registered Testing Pool (RTP)

According to the WADA provisions, the term "Registered Testing Pool (RTP)" is defined as follows: "The pool of top level athletes established separately by each International Federation (and NADO) who are subject to both in-competition and out-of-competition testing (…). Each IF (and NADO) shall publish a list which identifies those Athletes included in its RTP either by name or by clearly defined specific criteria."

FIBA has decided to determine 2 RTPs.

The RTP 1 includes the following players from 1st January until 31st March 2010:

The RTP 2 has been defined for the 2009/2010 basketball season as follows:

All players registered for:

  • World Championships for Men & Women
  • Euroleague competitions for Women
  • Euroleague competitions for Men
  • FIBA-Americas League

are automatically considered as part of the FIBA Registered Testing Pool for 1 year.

Please note as a general rule that all players, no matter if they are part of the RTP or not, remain subject to out-of-competition testing at all times.
