At the 3rd of October, after the public statements of the Greek Federation of Basketball and the minister of sports affairs for solution to the problems of Basketball Players in Greece, and after reaching into a specific agreement, PSAK decided to suspend the strike that it had anounced.  Unfortunately, since then, neither the Federation nor the minister of sports Mr. Ioanidis have taken   any official action in order to put in effect the solutions agreed. In the contrary,   53 days after the suspension of our strike, the two sides meet only by themselves and decline to meet with us in order to solve our problems.
We, the basketball players of Greece, cannot "beg" for a meeting and we cannot accept to be fooled and mucked by the Greek Federation and by Mr. Ioannidis.  Therefore, since we exhausted any other solutions, we announce general strike from all the games of all the divisions and competitions that our members participate in (A1, A2, and Greek Cup) from the 3rd of January 2009 and until the day when an official solution will be given and put in effect concerning the things we agreed on with the Greek Federation of Basketball.
